history
Kira was an oddball of a child. The only child of Corrin and Sylvia Crystheart, she was raised on the fantastic and epic stories of her father, Corrin. As long as the girl can remember, her hazel eyes were always locked on him, her ears drinking in every juicy detail of the amazing tales that he spun! In her mind, she was ever a brave heroine, on an epic quest to save a gorgeous, dainty young man from a terrifying beast of nightmares! However, she had the tendency of acting out these fantasies in real life, and would go around smacking her elders in the shins with a stick. This went over about as well as can be expected, and her father stopped telling his stories for fear of putting her imagination into overdrive.
As Kira grew older, she and her father grew more and more distant. She seemed content to live a life of fantasy, while he was intent on teaching her how to function in the real world. Against his better judgment, for the sake of her ability to defend herself, he taught her swordsmanship, and while this somewhat helped their relationship, the rift had already been formed. The two bickered constantly, especially when it came time for Kira to take a husband. Her father was intent on arranging a marriage for her to a local nobleman, but she refused, wanting to strive out on an adventure to find the love of her life herself.
Eventually, the conflict escalated, and Kira's father offered her an ultimatum- either she submit to his will and marry the nobleman, or leave and fend for herself. Rash and full of pride, Kira strode out on her own, braving the wilderness with nothing but her training sword. However, she had no idea where she was going, how to hunt, forage, or even cook. Eventually, she lost her way in the mountains, where she succumbed to hunger and fainted.
Fortune smiled upon the girl, however, for she was found by a local enclave of dwarves who, seeing how dire her condition was, rescued her and nursed her back to health. Among these kind souls was the dwarf Kane, who in his pity, took her in and taught her to cook and smith. Kira showed amazing promise in the way of the forge, although she required constant attention, for she would often forget the very items she was working on. After a time, this caught up with the girl, and she accidentally set the entire smithy ablaze! Outraged, the clan banished her, and again, she strode out on her own.
Now, Kira comes to Selphia looking for work and a new life. Still she yearns to make herself a famous heroine and claim a valiant lover of her own, and yet, for the first time in her life, the shadow of doubt looms over her. Are these things simply just not meant for her?

A man wailed as he ran at great speeds, fleeing a large wolf-like monster! Meek and unarmed, her didn't stand a chance against the terrifying beast! Yet, fate smiled upon him this day, for justice and salvation arrived! Clad in bright pink armor and wielding a blade of peerless craftsmanship, Kira arrived, planting herself between the two! "Back, foul beast! You'll not make a meal of this poor soul today!" she declared, her lips curling upward with excitement as her hazel eyes burned with passion. The wolf snarled, its eyes leering menacingly back at her as it prepared to lunge!
As the creature did so, however, it found itself suddenly enshrouded in white, and then back at the Forest of Beginnings. Kira had cleaved through the creature, the magic of her sword sending it back whence it had come. With great pride, she sheathed her sword, giggling with delight as she ran a hand through her long brunette locks. "Worry not, my fair prince, for on this day, you've been saved by the beautiful, daring, graceful Kira Kryst-" The guy was gone. "Wha-? Where did he go?" the girl wondered, tilting her head in confusion.
Meanwhile, the young man had stalked off into the brush, breathing heavily. "Man, what a freak," he whispered. "I almost wish the wolf had eaten me instead of getting saved by her." He almost immediately regretted those words, however, for as he peered out from his hiding spot, Kira was already right there in his face, glaring with displeasure.
"That can still be arranged, you know," she uttered harshly, not restraining the amount of disdain present in her gaze.
"Wha-what I meant to say wa-" the man stammered, only to be cut off just like his wind. A foot had been crammed oh so perfectly between his legs, and the only sound that came from him was a high-pitched squeal as he doubled over in a fetal position.
"Jerk! Let me know the next time a beautiful lady saves your sorry butt!" Kira bellowed, storming off towards Selphia with a huff and puff. "Hmph! Who needs a man anyway!?" Suddenly, however, it dawned on her that she'd forgotten which way she was heading exactly. With a sudden pivot, she shot off back towards the young man, who, having just recovered, instantly bolted away from her! "Wait! Stop! I'm not gonna kick your nads this time! I just need directions!" she cried out.
"Get away from me you crazy wench!" he called back, tears in his eyes as he fled with even more feverishly than he had from the wolf.
