Sayo was born to Cornella and Ben Sakora. Sadly she never really got to know her mother, who died giving birth to her, leleaving her father to take care of her. She got along fairly well with her father, and felt like she could tell him anything. When she was five years old, her father once again fell in love. This time he fell in love with a human, and they stayed together for the longest time. When she was ten years old, her father and his new lover got married, making the human her step mother. The womans name was Bell, and she was always looking for a way to spoil Sayo. However; it seemed that fate did not want her father to have a happy marriage.

When she was 13 years old her step mother went out into a bad storm and just seemed to disappear. Her father looked everywhere for Bell, but no matter how much they looked, they couldn't find her. The days turned to weeks and the weeks turned to months, but Bell still did not return. Sayo watched as her father fell apart and slowly gave into depression. On her 14 birthday, her father took his own life. With the help of some of the neighbors she was able to take care of herself, but she still foumd it hard to move on from the fact that her father had taken his own life.

As the years passed, she found herself starting to hate her father. She blamed him for taking the easy way out and stopped talking about her father and step-mother. She lives alone in the house that once belonged to her parents, but any pictures that may have been on the walls have long since been thrown out. She spends a lot of her time researching the habits of monsters and she tries to do so without having to harm the monsters. When she isn't researching monsters, she can be found researching herbs and flowers.

Role-play sample

Sayo lay in hee bed her eyes shut tightly. She had woken up way early and had been trying to get back to sleep, but she hadn't been having any luck. Finally giving up, she let out a sigh and sat up in her bed. 'I suppose I should go do something,' she told herself. Tucking a few strands of her hair behind her ear, she stood up and headed towards the bathroom to take her shower. Before reaching the bathroom, she snatched up the clothes she had planned to wear for the day. Once she had done that, she entered the bathroom, closing the door behind her.

She quickly did her morning routine and made sure to get everything about her appearance, neat and organized. Looking around she grabbed her bandanna and tied her hair back like she usually did. Once she was pleased with the way she looked, she walked out of the bathroom turning off the light behind her. Then she shut her door and headed downstairs into the kitchen. Since she was in a bit of a hurry to leave the house, she snatched up a banana and walked outside. 

Taking her key out of her pocket, she locked the door behind her, before heading towards the observatory. She had always liked the observatory and had found that it was a great place to think. Finishing her banana, she kept ahold of her banana peel until she found a trash can. Once she had found a trash can, she continued on her way to the observatory.
