Raine is just your average merfolk. She's a little shy and timid, placing little barriers around herself. It's been like that for a while, and she's slowly learning to grow stronger, and explore Selphia to it's fullest. She's young, at the age of fourteen, and tends to waste away the hours in isolated areas, usually near safe sceneries where she jots down thoughts and sketches. Her greatest ambition is to become either an artist or an author of novels, and each day she strives for that. It's a small little life, and sometimes the process cold get rather boring by each day. She's on the go, searching for some ways to have fun, without facing her fears or moving around too much (because she's lazy). At the end of the day, she returns to the sea.

Raine has made acquaintances before, but she never considers them as friends. If anything, acquaintances. She comes off as gloomy, timid, and anxious until she knows you better. Raine is so easily hurt by almost anything others say about her, and it greatly imbalances her moods. Therefore, she has mixed emotions about everyone and doesn't want them to say such things. But sometimes, the truth must be told. When speaking, she often looks at the ground and she speaks rather quick and quiet. People often tell her to slow down with her speech, which only makes her a bit ticked off. And when she gets excited, she pretty much shouts her words out. It only seems that your company is unwanted or she's jst too lazy and boring for you. And for some reason, she's extremely uncomfortable around the opposite sex. Nothing happened to her in the past, but she literally gets so nervous that she dreads it. In fact, she might even be a little rude, but feel terrible about it in the end. Then throw herself a pity party.

However, once you open up to her, she's like an entirely new person. She smiles a lot more and laughs, but she's pretty random and awkward even though. Once she does open up to you, you're going to need to deal with complaining. She's always whining over little things and clinging onto her friends. Well, that's her in a nutshell. Honestly, she's just oblivious and behind the scenes she barely notices the world around her to even do anything. It's really up to someone else to approach her and break these walls. And she NEEDS interaction.

Yes, Raine can form enemies, but also, she can't. She may actually seem to not care, but even if she did, she would pretend to ignore it. When she does retort, she happens to trip on her words and embarrass herself even more. Bu truthfully, once she hates you, it's real hatred. For someone of her age, she's really resentful and can hold grudges like no other. She just plays false illusions of victory over and over in her head. But still, even if she's helpless, she has a killer glare and a frightening mind if you could just read it. I dunno, if you want a hateship, bully plot, etc, we can work something up together.

Raine is socially unfit for any romantic relationship. Pair up her laziness, whiny attitude, and sensitivity together, she looks like someone you can't put up with for long. And besides, she's scared to love anyone like that. It makes her nervous and it (obviously) ends up unrequited. All the terrible tragedies of love overpower everything else to her, which makes her a firm believer that love can only be temporary, never like something true. Often times, Raine is only pulled in by the looks of others, and is curious about same gender relationships. he ones she falls hard for are the ones who empathize and have bright spirits.[break]
Sadly, to protect herself, Raine attempts to challenge her feelings of love into hate, but forcing false comments about them into her mind and giving them nasty glares. When on the inside, she's just a big hot mess. She doesn't want to rely on romance as a life goal, even if it could be nice.
