Rudy's first impression sucks. Scruffy, covered in dirt, an ever present weapon, black baggy eyes. He looks like he's about to start a fight most of the time. Honestly, he's tolerant of new people and easily goes along with the crowd - as long as it doesn't involve spiders. Or scorpions. Or flying.
Ask him along to hunting some monsters or finding treasure. Try not to be too worried when he shrugs off a broken arm or a gushing head wound, just let him walk it off (before fainting from blood loss and needing to be teleported to the clinic). Be prepared to stare him down when something goes missing - chances are he squirreled it away in some hidden spot in the wilds.

FRIENDSHIPS
'Friend' is an easy title to get from Rudolph. Proper friendship is a little more work. Offer him some fish, talk to him when he's lost in town, take him along to some monster hunting. Mention offhand you need a certain monster scale, or that there's an orc problem over in a certain stretch of the forest, and he'll be off to cut it down.
The main hazards of friendship with the dwarf is the sudden disappearance of items. Or the appearance of random parts of monsters. Or finding your fridge full of fish one morning. His initial easy going nature sticks, managing to become more lax and easy to push around.

HATESHIPS
Do you use magic? Think spiders or scorpions are a good joke prop? You'll pretty much instantly on Rudy's 'do not trust' list. Constant teasing after the first few meetings, wasting food, or trying to steal his sword are also big tickets to the hate train.
His hate is passive. Got a monster problem? He won't be the quickest volunteer to go and take care of it, even if he is the best person to do it. Something fell out of your pocket? It's gone. Long term hatred or even just dislike of someone is foreign, since he could just up and leave whenever he wanted.

LOVESHIPS
Rudy is no stranger to crushing on someone. Norad is a big place, and his wandering has gotten him on both sides of the unrequited love fence. It's also due to his restless moving about that nothing serious has ever happened, or the other party thinking he is someone he is not.
Actual relationships though, that's a new frontier. Proper, long lasting ones. The kind you can't just run off into the night. His plans to stay in Selphia for awhile have made him cautious of seeking out a partner - shy even, the anxiety of being around so many buildings not helping.
Much like a platonic friendship, expect bits and bobs from monsters, and random cooked dishes if you catch his eye. Unlike a platonic relationship, you won't have to worry about him nicking something off you, more likely to be given something from his stolen stash instead.
